According to the latest forecasts from the World Bank, the Moroccan economy is expected to decline by 6.3% in 2020 due to the Covid-19 health crisis as well as the impact of bad rainfall on the agricultural sector. In 2021, the World Bank forecasts a GDP rebound of 3.4%.

According to the statistics of the Planning and Economic Forecasting Department (DPEE) for the month of August 2020, economic activity excluding agriculture and forestry in Senegal shows a decline of 7.6% compared to the previous month. Year-on-year, it displays a decrease of 5.9% during the same period.
