| MOROCCO | REAL ESTATE | Housing starts down 13.6% in H1 2022
According to the Ministry of housing, housing production in Morocco increased by 2.1% in H1 2022 to 111,216 units. Meanwhile, housing starts fell by 13.6% during the same period to 97,886 units.
Regarding economic and social housing, production reached 53,650 units in H1 2022, down 7.5%. Meanwhile, housing starts amounted to 45,420 units, i.e. an increase of 12.0%.

According to the latest forecasts of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the growth rate of the Tunisian economy should stand at 2.2% in 2022. In 2023, the financial institution forecasts a growth rate of 1.6%.
