| MOROCCO | INFLATION | An inflation rate of 0.2% in April 2024
In April 2024, the Consumer Prices Index rose by 0.6% compared to the previous month, taking into account the increase of 0.9% in the food index and 0.2% in the non-food index. On an annual basis, the inflation rate stood at 0.2% in April 2024 after 0.6% in March 2024.
Note that the underlying inflation indicator, which excludes products with volatile prices and products with public tariffs, increa-sed by 0.2% in April 2024 compared to the previous month and by 2.2% compared to April 2023.
| SENEGAL | INFLATION | An inflation rate of 2.3% in April 2024
According to the National Agency for Statistics and Demography (ANSD), Senegal's Harmonized Consumer Prices Index fell by 0.4% in April 2024 compared to the previous month. Year-on-year, the inflation rate stood at 2.3%.
