| MOROCCO | SUGAR | A coverage rate of domestic needs of 50% in 2020

According to the press, the yield of sugar beet amounted to 11.4 tons of sugar/ha in 2020 against 8.8 tons of sugar/ha for sugar cane. At the same time, the sector achieved a coverage rate of 50% of the sugar needs produced locally in Morocco.

In December 2020, Côte d'Ivoire exports stood at FCFA 883.7 Bn, jumping by 31.6% compared to the previous month. Likewise, imports surged by 37.9% during the same period to settle at FCFA 609.7 Bn. In this context, the trade surplus stands at FCFA 274 Bn.

During the year 2020, the trade surplus amounts to FCFA 1,054.5 Bn against FCFA 1,307.5 Bn in 2019.
