| MOROCCO | FISHING | Sector’s revenue up 6% at the end of May 2023

According to the National Fisheries Office, landings of inshore and artisanal fishery products fell by 11% at the end of February 2023 to stand at 422,205 tons. Meanwhile, the sector's revenue settled at MAD 4,412 Mn, up 6% compared to the same period of the previous year.

According to the National Agency for Statistics and Demography (ANSD), Senegal’s exports amounted to FCFA 1,208 Bn at the end of April 2023, up 12.7% compared to the same period of the previous year. Likewise, imports increased by 5.2% to settle at FCFA 2,192 Bn. In this context, the trade deficit stands at FCFA -984 Bn at the end of April 2023 against FCFA -1,011 Bn a year earlier.
