| MOROCCO | TOURISM | Tourist arrivals up 15% at the end of May 2024
According to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social and Solidarity Economy, tourist arrivals in Morocco reached 1.3 million tourists in May 2024, recording an increase of 18% year-on-year. During the first five months of this year, these amounted to more than 5.9 million tourists, i.e. an increase of 15% compared to the same period of the previous year.
| BURKINA FASO | INFLATION | An inflation rate of 3.4% in May 2024
According to the National Institute of Statistics and Demography of Burkina Faso, the Harmonized Consumer Prices Index increa-sed by 1.0% in May 2024 compared to the previous month. Year-on-year, the inflation rate stood at 3.4%.
