According to the chairman of the Association of Cars Importers in Morocco (AIVAM), vehicle sales should record a decline between 12% and 15% in 2022. Recall that these fell by -10.8% during H1 2022.

According to the CMI, the number of payment transactions carried out by Moroccan and international bank cards amounted to 66.7 million in H1 2022 up 32.4% compared to the same period of the previous year. In value, the amount of these transactions reached MAD 27.8 Bn, up 36.7% during the same period.

According to Togo’s National Institute of Statistics and Economic and Demographic Studies, the Harmonized Consumer Price Index rose by 0.5% in June 2022 compared to the previous month. Year-on-year, the inflation rate stood at 6.8% above the community convergence threshold of 3.0% set by WAEMU.
