| SENEGAL | INFLATION | Consumer prices up 8.9% y-o-y in June 2022

According to the National Agency for Statistics and Demography (ANSD), Senegal's Harmonized Consumer Price Index rose by 1.9% in June 2022 compared to that of the previous month. Year-on-year, the inflation rate stands at 8.9% above the community convergence threshold of 3% set by WAEMU.

According to the results of the permanent household survey conducted by the HCP, the Household Confidence Index stood at its all-time low in Q2 2022, i.e. 50.1 pts. This displays a decrease of -3.6 pts compared to the previous quarter and -12,9 pts y-o-y.
