| MOROCCO | CEMENT | New scope of the APC
On December 18th 2023, the General Meeting of the Professional Association of Cement Operators (APC) ratified the decision of its Board of Directors to welcome Novacim, a new Moroccan producer of clinker and cement. Located in Oulad Ghanem (Province of El Jadida), this cement plant has a production capacity of 1.6 MT per year and required an investment worth MAD 2.6 Bn.
Note that with this new plant, the cement supply of APC members reaches an annual production capacity of 24.6 MT.
| MALI | INFLATION | An inflation rate of -0.5% in December 2023
According to the National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) of Mali, the Harmonized Consumer Prices Index shows a decrease of 0.6% in December 2023 compared to the previous month. Year-on-year, the inflation rate stood at -0.5%.
