According to the Central Bank of West African States, the Harmonized Consumer Price Index of the WAEMU region increased by 2.5% y-o-y in July 2020. This results from the rise in prices of “Food and non-alcoholic beverages” (+1.9%), “Transport” (+0.2%), “Restaurants and Hotels” (+0.2%), “Clothing” (+0.1%) and “Housing” (+0.1%).
