According to the National Institute of Statistics, Cameroon's aluminum exports amounted to 14,925 tons in H1 2021 against 22,869 tons in H1 2020, i.e. a drop of 34.7% year-on-year. This decline is partly explained by the current difficulties of the Compagnie Camerounaise de l’Aluminium (ALUCAM), the only producer of this metal in the CEMAC region.
