During the month of August 2020, port traffic jumped by 9.8% to 7.8 million tons. During the first eight months of 2020, the overall traffic of the ports managed by the ANP settles at 62.6 million tons, jumping by 6.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.
| MOROCCO | INDUSTRY | Manufacturing industries production index down 21% in Q2 2020
In Q2 2020, the production index of manufacturing industries excluding oil refining posted a year-on-year decline of 21.4%. Similarly, the index related to the production of electrical energy fell by 12.7% during the same period. Meanwhile, the index related to the production of mining industries recorded an increase of 7.6%.
