According to the Telecommunication watchdog ANRT, the global mobile phone base stood at 55.9 million subscribers in Q4 2023, bringing the penetration rate to 150.9% against 144.3% a year earlier. By operator, the number of mobile subscribers reached 19.7 million for Maroc Telecom, i.e. a market share of 35.3%. Medi Telecom's market share stood at 32.5% against 32.2% for Wana Corporate. As for the fixed line market, the penetration rate settled at 7.8% against 7.2% in Q4 2022. Maroc Telecom has a market share of 62.1%.
Finally, the total number of Internet subscribers stood at 38.3 million, up 7.6%. The Internet penetration rate stood at 103.4% in Q4 2023 against 97.0% a year earlier. In this context, Maroc Telecom holds a market share of 32.8% against 67.2% for the other operators.

| TUNISIA | INFLATION | An inflation rate of 7.5% in February 2024

According to the National Institute of Statistics of Tunisia, the Consumer Prices Index increased by 0.2% in February 2024 month-on-month. On an annual basis, the inflation rate stood at 7.5% compared to 7.8% in January 2024.
