| MOROCCO | BANK CARDS | The number of operations up 44% in May 2022
According to the CMI, the number of payment transactions carried out by Moroccan and international bank cards amounts to 12.6 million in May 2022, up 43.5% compared to the same period of the previous year. In value, the amount of these transactions reached MAD 5.7 Bn, up 63.8% during the same period.

According to National Institute of Statistics of Côte d’Ivoire, the country’s growth rate would have reached 6.7% in 2021 against 2.0% in 2020. This growth results from the dynamics observed in the three sectors: tertiary (+7.3%), secondary (+4.6%) and prima-ry (+2.2%).
