According to the results of the permanent household economic survey conducted by HCP, the Household Confidence Index (ICM) continued its downward trend to stand at its historic low during Q2 2023 at 45.4 pts. This is a drop of -0.9 pts compared to the pre-vious quarter and -4.1 pts year-on-year.
| BENIN | INFLATION | An inflation rate of 4.3% in June 2023
According to the National Institute of Statistics and Demography (INSTAD) of Benin, the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (IHPC) recorded an increase of 0.2% in June 2023 compared to the previous month. Year-on-year, the inflation rate stood at 4.3%.
