| MOROCCO | EMPLOYMENT | An unemployment rate of 12.3% in 2021
According to the HCP, the unemployment rate in Morocco reached 12.3% in 2021 against 11.9% a year earlier. In urban areas, unemployment rate rose from 15.8% in 2020 to 16.9% in 2021. In rural areas, it stood at 5.0% at the end of December 2021 against 5.9% during the previous year.

During the month of January 2022, Tunisia’s tourism receipts stood at TND 147.2 Mn, i.e. an increase of 27.6% compared to the same period of the previous year.
