| MOROCCO | FISHING | Sector’s revenue down 18% in January 2023
According to the National Fisheries Office, landings of inshore and artisanal fishery products declined by 36% in January 2023 to stand at 30,201 tons. Thus, the sector's revenue settled at MAD 977 Mn decreasing by 18% compared to the same month of the previous year.

According to the National Agency of Statistics and Demography (ANSD), Senegal’s exports amounted to FCFA 3,563 Bn in 2022, up 23.5% compared to the previous year. Likewise, imports surged by 40.4% to stand at FCFA 7,549 Bn. In this context, the trade def-icit settled at FCFA -3,986 Bn in 2022 against FCFA -2,494 Bn a year earlier.
