| MOROCCO | FISHING | Sector’s revenue up 9% at the end of November 2022
According to the National Fisheries Office, landings of inshore and artisanal fishery products jumped by 19% at the end of Novem-ber 2022 to stand at 1,405,398 tons. Likewise, the sector's revenue rose by 9% compared to the same period of the previous year to settle at MAD 8.8 Bn.
| MOROCCO | PORT TRAFFIC | ANP forecasts a recovery of 3% in 2023
According to the forecasts of the National Ports Agency (ANP), port traffic should stand at 93.6 MT, i.e. a recovery of 3.3% com-pared to the forecasts for the year 2022.
| SENEGAL | FOREIGN TRADE | Widening of the trade deficit at the end of October 2022
According to the National Agency of Statistics and Demography (ANSD), Senegal’s exports amounted to FCFA 2,949 Bn at the end of October 2022, up 28.6% compared to the same period of the previous year. Likewise, imports increased by 40.2% to stand at FCFA 6,052 Bn. In this context, the trade deficit settles at FCFA -3,103 Bn at the end of October 2022 against FCFA -2,022 Bn a year earlier.
