According to ANRT, the global mobile phone base stood at 60.3 million subscribers in Q3 2024, bringing the penetration rate to 161.3% against 154.8% a year earlier. By operator, the number of mobile subscribers reached 19.8 million for Maroc Telecom, i.e. a market share of 32.8%. Medi Telecom and Wana Corporate’s s market share stood at 33.6% each. As for the fixed line market, the penetration rate settled at 8.0%, stable compared to Q3 2023. Maroc Telecom has a market share of 56.3%.
Finally, the total number of Internet subscribers stood at 42.1 million, up 6.6%. The Internet penetration rate stood at 112.7% in Q3 2024 against 103.5% a year earlier. In this context, Maroc Telecom holds a market share of 31.6% against 68.4% for the other operators.
