According to the National Agency for Statistics and Demography (ANSD), Senegal's Harmonized Consumer Prices Index increased by 0.2% in March 2024 compared to the previous month. Year-on-year, the inflation rate stood at 3.3%.

At the end of February 2024, tourist arrivals amounted to 2,140,540 tourists, up 14% compared to the end of February 2023. At the same time, overnight stays at classified accommodation establishments stood at 3,641,948, recording an increase of 7% com-pared to the same period of 2023. In this context, the average room occupancy rate reached 42% during the first two months of 2024, down 1 point.
