In Q1 2022, the traffic carried through the ports managed by the ANP (National Ports Agency) reached an overall volume of 21.7 million tons. This shows a decrease of 5.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.

According to the National Institute of Statistics and Demography, the Harmonized Consumer Price Index of Benin recorded an increase of 0.4% in March 2022 compared to the previous month. Year-on-year, the inflation rate of the country stands at +2.0% below the community convergence threshold of 3.0% set by WAEMU.
