According to the latest figures from the Tourism Observatory, overnight stays at classified accommodation establishments stood at 11,881,414 at the end of May 2025, up 14% year-on-year. In this context, the average room occupancy rate reached 49% during the same periode, up 2 points.

According to the National Agency of Statistics and Demography (ANSD), Senegal's exports jumped by 64.5% at the end of May 2025 to reach FCFA 2,326 Bn. Similarly, imports increased by 5.2% to FCFA 3,024 Bn. In this context, the trade balance shows a deficit of FCFA -698 Bn at the end of May 2025 against FCFA -1,461 Bn a year earlier.
