According to the results of the permanent household survey conducted by the HCP, the Household Confidence Index stood at its all-time low in Q1 2023, i.e. 46.3 pts. This displays a decrease of -0.3 pt compared to the previous quarter and -7,4 pts y-o-y.

| BURKINA FASO | GDP | A growth rate of 2.2% in Q4 2022
According to the National Institute of Statistics and Demography, the growth rate of Burkina Faso’s economy reached 2.2% in Q4 2022. This results from the increase in the primary (+15.2%) and tertiary (+6.8%) sectors against a decrease of -8.7% in the sec-ondary sector.
During 2022, the economic growth of Burkina Faso is estimated at 1.5% against 6.9% in 2021 and 1.9% in 2020.
