| MOROCCO | ELECTRICITY | Sales up 7% in Q1 2026
In Q1 2026, electricity net production in Morocco stood at 10,642 million kWh against 10,731 million kWh a year earlier, i.e. a decrease of 0.8%. Meanwhile, electricity sales amounted to 9,778 million kWh during the same period, rising by 6.6% YoY.
| SENEGAL | FOREIGN TRADE | A trade surplus in Q1 2026
According to the National Agency of Statistics and Demography (ANSD), Senegal's exports increased by 13.9% in Q1 2026 to FCFA 1,579 Bn. Meanwhile, imports fell by 15.1% to FCFA 1,568 Bn. In this context, the trade balance shows a surplus of FCFA 12 Bn in Q1 2026 against a deficit of FCFA -461 Bn in Q1 2025.
